A Lot of Work, A Lot of Fun!

Ok, so I won't be winning the best blogger of the world anytime soon. But I have a very.. very.. very good excuse for not posting in almost a week.

I've been toying with idea of launching my own website for some time now and recently I finally got around to doing it. But hold your horses! I'm still in the process of designing the webpages and boy, does it take a lot of time! All the pages, all the links, all the pictures, all the formating.. *sigh* But it's gonna be worth the effort, I'm sure of it. So stay tuned!

Another thing that has kept me busy this week, aside from the midterm exams, is the upcoming FashiEn: Fashion for the Environment on Friday, July 31. Yours truly will be presenting two designs from the Spring/Summer collection with the addition of some really fabulous eco-chic bags! Right after the fashion show, the bags will be available at my Etsy shop: http://talulahcoco.etsy.com. Below are more details about the event.

Mark your calendars on July 31 and August 2 as Rockwell presents FashiEn, a whole weekend of nature-inspired festivities.

Happening at the Archaeology Wing, FashiEn (Fashion for the Environment) aims to rouse environmental consciousness through fashion, art, music and sports.

On July 31, enjoy cocktails and a fashion show featuring nature-inspired pieces and accessories by the various Archaeology stores like Moonshine, Wisdom, Ilaya and Team Manila. Promising designers from the School of Fashion and the Arts (SoFA) Retail Lab like Amour, Willow and Mafia will take to the ramp to show off their creations made out of environment-friendly materials.

Film buffs can also enjoy a special showing of 11th Hour, a documentary hosted by Leonardo Di Caprio that explores the state of our planet Earth and how we can attempt to change it, at the Archaeology Wing.

For the musically-inclined, Filipino band Nycó Macá + PLAYgROUND, whose musical influences are as diverse and wide as trip-hop, break beat, hip-hop, gypsy nu-jazz and sambatronica will have its album launch on the same day. A listening party will cap the night in celebration of nature and the environment. Go to http://powerplantmall.multiply.com to read more.

Hope to see you there!
